Have you ever been so “taken” with a movie that you just had to write about it? On one hand, I realize that it’s pretty much so good of a story… so transparent, that plenty of folks are going to roll their eyes and dismiss it. Honestly, though, it just hit me really “hard in the feels”.
The movie is Free Guy, and I knew nothing about it before I watched it just now. In another post I should go into why the words “spear carrier” fit so well here. That’s for another time, though. Incidentally, anyone who can identify where I got the term “spear carrier” is likely to become a lifelong friend (or a much better one). The movie just spoke to me (on multiple layers).
